Artsreach present 'SWING FROM PARIS'
Swing from Paris are an all-string jazz quartet that take inspiration from the music of the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
Swing from Paris have been delighting audiences for over 15 years with their Parisian-flavoured jazz and gypsy swing: from major jazz festivals including the Django Reinhardt Festival, to the BBC’s Hairy Bikers and even the opening of the award-winning Gloucester Services!
Performing on violin, guitars and double bass, the quartet play a range of popular swing classics inspired by Gershwin, Edith Piaf, Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli and the master of tango, Astor Piazzolla, amongst others.
Expect a variety of repertoire, interspersed with humour, storytelling and historical context that brings the music to life.
