Recent Events:
July’s meeting gave members the opportunity to enjoy a new venture for the club with a private visit to Carraway Barn Gardens in Marnhull. The garden is set in 2 acres around a C19 former barn, in recent years a natural swimming pond, large shrub border and waterfall have been created.

Despite being a very hot afternoon, members were able to find shade provided by the woodland walks and numerous trees. There was still plenty of colour to be seen from the white hydrangeas, hostas and ferns and an established walled garden provided a range of roses, geraniums and topiary to enjoy all encircling a water lily pond.

The afternoon was rounded off with very welcome refreshments, including a selection of delicious homemade cakes.

Our next garden visit will be 30th September, this time a little further afield to Tumblins in Winterborne Stickland.
